Dr Louisa Christie is an English doctor who completed her medical degree at the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in the UK in 2002 and worked as a Junior doctor for the NHS until she moved to Australia in 2007. She commenced and completed her psychiatry training in Victoria following this move, and qualified as a Consultant Psychiatrist in 2022. Clinically she has experience in metropolitan and regional inpatient and community mental health, with experience and interest in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Adolescent Mental Health, and Womens’ Mental health. She is currently working as a Perinatal Psychiatrist for a regional health service in Victoria.
Dr Christie enjoys talking to patients and assisting them with their mental health issues. She has experience with Telehealth, using it frequently in her current role and in her work in public mental health through the pandemic.
