Dr Martin Allan is a Scottish doctor who graduated from Aberdeen University and specialised in Psychiatry after moving to Australia in 2005. Clinically he has experience in metropolitan, regional and remote inpatient and community mental health settings, as well as private practice.
Dr Allan was an early adopter of telehealth from 2015 onwards, and is a strong advocate for telehealth given how it has enhanced access to specialist psychiatric services in rural and remote settings. His interests include depression, anxiety and perinatal mental health.
Throughout Dr Allan’s career, he has enjoyed talking to patients and assisting them with their mental health issues. He is knowledgable about fertility treatments and excited about assessing women and men to aid them in their quest to become parents.
