Dr Blenkin attended the University of Queensland where she undertook her medical training in Brisbane and the provincial town of Nambour on the Sunshine Coast. It was during this time she realised that Psychiatry was the area of medicine that she loved. After obtaining a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, she completed her junior doctor years at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
She undertook specialist training with the College of Psychiatrists, working in a range of public and private hospitals across Brisbane and Sydney. During her training, Dr Blenkin worked in both inpatient and outpatient perinatal psychiatry for six months which has made her perfectly positioned to assist our clients. Whilst working at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Dr Blenkin had the good fortune to work with and be mentored by Dr Schelle.
Upon completion of her fellowship, Dr Blenkin became a member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. She is currently appointed as a staff specialist at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane. She is excited to have the opportunity to work with Dr Schelle again to help patients achieve their dream of having a child.
